On Friday, October 30, 2026, the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIB) hosted the INTERDILIGENCE conference “The Relationships and Ecosystems That Can Influence a Business Decision” in its Aula Carol I.

More than 50 representatives of private companies, law firms and institutions took part. The day brought together strategic intelligence, legal expertise and data technology around a single question: what do we need to understand in order to make a better decision?

From data to decision

Marius Ghiba, CEO & Founder of INTERDILIGENCE, opened the conference with the economic context. Insolvencies are rising: almost 4,000 new proceedings were opened in the first half of 2026, and insolvencies among companies with turnover above €500,000 grew by more than 60%. He then explained why more information does not automatically mean more understanding. A company’s success often depends on the relationships, interests and dependencies around it, and the decisive links are rarely visible in official registers.

“The difference between a good decision and a costly one is not always experience, intelligence or available resources. Sometimes, the difference is a single piece of information,” said Marius Ghiba.

The guest speakers added three complementary perspectives:

  • Strategic: David Carstens, Carstens Consulting Global
  • Legal: Ligia Popescu, Wolf Theiss
  • Data and technology: Adrian Dragomir, Termene.ro and Sferal.ai

Tools, technology and case studies

Daniel Bîlea, CTO of INTERDILIGENCE, presented the TOVEK Intelligence Platform, for which INTERDILIGENCE is the official partner in Romania. He showed examples from the energy, insurance and industrial sectors. In these cases, analysing thousands of documents took days instead of weeks. Daniel also introduced INTERDILIGENCE Radar (www.radar.interdiligence.com), a real-time platform that shows conflicts, news, infrastructure and country risk on a single map.

The final session presented three anonymised case studies:

  • Smart Persona – vetting a senior financial consultant before a strategic hire – presented by Elvis Renghea
  • Nexus 360 – assessing a joint-venture partner in Latin America – presented by Florin Damian
  • OptimaCore – a strategic audit of an LPG port terminal after a change of ownership – presented by Laurențiu Savin

Each case showed how strategic information changed a concrete business decision: avoiding a risky hire, reshaping a market-entry strategy, or prioritising critical operational fixes.

Closing the event, Marius Ghiba invited participants to ask themselves one question before their next important decision: “What do I not yet understand that could change this decision?”

“In a world where access to information is becoming ever easier, the real competitive advantage will not be just knowing more than others. It will be understanding what matters, before it becomes obvious to everyone.”
